About this template
A Film By Director Credit Title Animation gives your film an elegant film credit title made in After Effects. A small "a film by" line introduces a large light serif name, the classic director credit for opening titles and trailers. Editors use it for music videos, movie trailers and end credits. It is the kind of professional title opener you see in blockbuster trailers, ready for your own story.
There are two editable text layers for the credit label and names. No digging through precomps: global size and placement, text colors and offsets all sit on the CONTROL PANEL layer. Turn the letterbox mattes on or off and set their size, darken the video, add a vignette and grain, fade in from black and push in slowly on your shot. A two-color gradient background can be switched on, or turned off to place the title over your own footage.
Filmmaker titles like this one save hours of motion design and post production work. Keep in mind that the background footage shown in the preview is not included; your own video goes where the DELETE THIS LAYER placeholder sits. The composition size is 4K UHD 3840x2160 with 60 fps motion and a running time of about 8.4 seconds. Compatible with After Effects 2023 and later versions, with zero third-party plugins. The fonts come from Adobe Fonts and activate with your Creative Cloud plan. Inside the download you will find a step-by-step tutorial and a list of the fonts with links. It belongs to a series of film credits, cinematic titles and trailer titles designed to work together. The Premium plan covers commercial projects, so filmmakers, agencies and freelancers can publish it with confidence.
