Animated Transitions featuring Vertical Slit Reveal and Bold Text Video Template for After Effects

On screen you get a vertical slit reveal and bold text. Put it on top of two clips and the cut out text carries the viewer from one scene to the next. It fits brand films, promo videos, vlogs and event recaps. It reads as a fast, elegant typography transition thanks to kinetic typography and smooth motion. The lettering is set in Anton, free to download from Google Fonts. A Horizontal and Vertical switch in the control panel flips the layout between 16:9 and 9:16, so the same transition works for YouTube and Instagram stories.

Inside the After Effects project you get 1 text field and 3 color controls, plus scale and position controls; it runs 5 seconds at 60 fps in a horizontal or vertical layout. No third-party plugins are required, only After Effects 2023 or newer. The solid background and slide colors are editable, and the background can be switched off. Preview footage is for demonstration only and is not part of the download. Combine this video template with more cutout transitions and titles templates for a consistent edit.
