Location and Year Establishing Title After Effects Project

Location and Year Establishing Title is a modern story text title template for After Effects, designed for filmmakers, editors and YouTube creators. A wide spaced city and year line sits over a smaller region line, the establishing card that tells the audience where and when the story happens. Editors use it for documentaries, YouTube storytelling videos and movie trailers. Use it as a title intro, a text intro or a trailer title; the animated titles keep their cinematic look at any size.

There are two editable text layers for the headline and detail lines. Everything is driven from one CONTROL PANEL layer: global scale and position, text shadow, position and color for each text. The film section adds letterbox bars with size control, video darken, vignette, fade from black, film grain and a zoom slider for the shot behind the text. If you need a plain backdrop, enable the gradient background and pick two colors; disable it to see your own shot behind the text.

Cinematic titles, trailer texts and opening credits like this give even a short video the feel of a Hollywood release. The film footage in the preview is for demonstration only and is not included; replace the layer named DELETE THIS LAYER with your own clip. Everything is designed at 3840x2160 (Ultra HD 4K), plays at 60 frames per second and lasts about 7.4 seconds. Compatible with After Effects 2023 and later versions, with zero third-party plugins. All typefaces are Adobe Fonts, included with every Creative Cloud subscription. The zip comes with an illustrated tutorial and a PDF that lists the typefaces with direct links. It belongs to a series of cinematic titles, release cards and story titles designed to work together. Available to Typoanim Premium members with a license for business and client work.
