About this template

Official Selection Film Festival Laurels Title brings a dramatic festival laurel title straight from the big screen into After Effects. Two gold laurel branches frame an official selection label, a festival name and a year, the award badge you see at the end of festival trailers. It fits social media promos and movie trailers, and works just as well in film posters in motion. Use it as a title intro, a text intro or a trailer title; the animated titles keep their cinematic look at any size.

All three text layers are editable, so you can rewrite the award label, festival name and year. Everything is driven from one CONTROL PANEL layer: global scale and position, text shadow, position and color for each text, plus the color of the thin decorative lines and the position of the laurel. Turn the letterbox mattes on or off and set their size, darken the video, add a vignette and grain, fade in from black and push in slowly on your shot. If you need a plain backdrop, enable the gradient background and pick two colors; disable it to see your own shot behind the text.

It works as an opening title, a trailer text or part of your end credits, with the smooth animation of real film titles. Demo video clips from the preview are not part of the download; drop your own shot in place of the DELETE THIS LAYER placeholder. Built in a 3840x2160 4K composition at 60 fps, the animation runs for about 7.9 seconds. Only built-in After Effects effects are used, so you need After Effects 2023 or newer and no plugins. The typefaces are Adobe Fonts (included with Creative Cloud) and open-source Google Fonts. The zip comes with an illustrated tutorial and a PDF that lists the typefaces with direct links. Use it next to the matching movie titles, trailer texts and opening credits from the same collection. The Premium plan covers commercial projects, so filmmakers, agencies and freelancers can publish it with confidence.
