Letter Mask Transition featuring Word Becoming Big Initial After Effects Template

A word fades over the shot, its first letter grows into a giant white mask and the next scene appears inside it. The letter mask effect shows your footage inside giant type, a bold transition for openers and promos. Great for video editors who want text transitions for intros, travel montages, business presentations and creator content. Swap the preview clips for your own videos in a few clicks; the text and motion stay the same. Type is set in Protest Strike, free on Google Fonts; the font guide links to it.

The .aet template opens as a fresh project in After Effects 2023 or later; save it under your own name and start editing. The text field lives in the EDIT composition, and the CONTROL PANEL layer holds 2 color controls for text, shapes and background. The preview footage is for demonstration only; place your own clip under the title layers. Resolution 1920x1080, 60 frames per second, roughly 6 seconds long. No plugins are needed; the download includes the Typoanim PDF tutorial and a font guide.

This is a Premium template, included in the Typoanim Premium plan with every other premium design. A commercial license is included for client projects, ads, social media and monetized videos, credit-free. Find more transition templates for After Effects in the premium collection.
