In After Effects, every lower third is an .aep project with an EDIT composition for the name and title lines and a Control panel for colors and size. Duplicate the composition for each speaker, render once with an alpha channel and reuse it across the whole program. Tip: keep the safe margins in mind when you position the lower third, especially for broadcast and social media, where interface elements can cover the edges of the frame.
They are made for interviews, news broadcasts, documentaries, corporate videos, webinars, podcasts and conference recordings. Keep the text short, two lines at most, and leave the lower third on screen for three to five seconds so viewers have time to read it.
